Summary of Red Cross Disaster Response, June 11

Severe thunderstorm watches in effect in Parker, Johnson and Wise counties.
Severe thunderstorm & flash flood warning in effect for Tarrant Co.

June 11

Red Cross disaster workers are following up on reports of damage in Euless, Grapevine, Southlake and Boyd (Parker County) this morning. Workers will be doing disaster assessments and making sure all disaster-caused needs are met, including assistance for shelter, food and clothing if needed.

Red Cross disaster workers responded to several incidents during the evening and into the night on June 10:
  • Chatham Creek Apartments in Arlington - 8 apartment units affected. Red Cross provided bedding, baby formula and other comfort items.
  • Shadow Creek & Bear Creek Apartments in Euless - roof blew off and caused water damage to several apartments.
  • Two single-family residential fires in Fort Worth.
  • One single-family residential fire in Lake Worth.
  • Roof damage to a home in Poolville (Parker County)

Red Cross is working closely with emergency management, monitoring current weather conditions and following up on any additional reports of damage or displaced families in the area.
